The Recycle Song (Click for lyrics)
(Dave Morehouse c1991)
I was listening to Minnesota Public Radio's Morning Show when a person had written in requesting a song about recycling for their birthday. They said a search of their library didn't show anything related to recycling and I sat down with a guitar and wrote this one in about 8 minutes.

Don't throw me away don't signal my end. Turn around, turn around, I'll be back again.
Said the lowly bottle to the lowly can, "I'll hold my fizzle just as long as I can.
When my bottom turns up my job is done.
I'll come back as a Cadillac shinin' in the sun."
chs:
Don't throw me away don't signal my end.
Turn around, turn around I'll be back....I'll be back again.
Newspapers,magazines, yesterday's rags,
Make us the paper for our shopping bags.
Now the whole world's joinin' in this recycle dance
The milk jugs and the tires are just beggin' for the chance.

Bridge:
This old world has been a long-time friend
I'd hate to see it end right now.
Thousands of years she has used it all
Let's help this spinnin' ball turn around.
chs:
Oh we swing through the semicircle we call life.
And we sing and we struggle in this earthly life.
When your life is over say, "Til then" to your friends
Turn around, turn around, you'll be back again.
